Tire Size Calculator

Finding the right tire cover starts with knowing your tire’s actual size.

This calculator helps convert the numbers printed on your tire into real-world dimensions so you can choose the correct cover with confidence.

How to Use the Tire Size Calculator

Enter the tire information exactly as it appears on the sidewall of your tire. The calculator will return the overall tire diameter and width in inches.

You do not need to enter your vehicle make or model.

Tire Measurements Explained

Most tires display measurements in one of these formats:

Example 1: 35x12.50R17
Example 2: 275/70R18

These numbers describe:

  • Tire width

  • Sidewall height

  • Wheel diameter

The calculator uses these values to determine the overall outside diameter of the tire, which is what matters for tire cover fit.

What the Calculator Determines

The calculator provides:

  • Overall tire diameter (in inches)

  • Tire width across the tread

These measurements help you select a tire cover that fits snugly without sagging or stretching.

Why Tire Size Matters

Tire covers are sized by tire diameter, not by vehicle type.

Two vehicles of the same model can have different tire sizes depending on:

  • Lift kits

  • Wheel size

  • Tire brand and profile

Always size your cover using the tire, not the vehicle.

Backup Camera Note

If your spare tire includes a rear-facing backup camera, be sure to select a camera-compatible cover when ordering. The calculator helps with size only and does not determine camera requirements.
