To measure your tire for a proper tire cover fitting, follow these steps:

  1. Gather Your Tools: You’ll need a measuring tape or ruler and a piece of paper and a pen to note down the measurements.

  2. Locate the Spare Tire: Ensure your vehicle is on a level surface, and locate the tire for which you want to find the correct size.

  3. Measure the Diameter: Measure the diameter of the tire from one side of the tread to the other, crossing through the center of the tire. Note this measurement in inches.

  4. Measure the Depth: Measure the depth of the tire’s sidewall from the edge of the rim to the outermost part of the tire’s sidewall. Note this measurement as well.

  5. Record the Size: Typically, tire sizes are represented in a series of numbers on the sidewall (e.g., P215/65R15). Write down this size as it might prove useful if you’re uncertain of your measurement.

  6. Reference Charts: When choosing a tire cover, make sure to reference our fitting chart to the left or the common tire size chart found below to get an exact measurement.

Remember, tire covers should fit snugly but not be overly tight. If in doubt, it’s usually better to choose a slightly larger size to ensure a proper fit.
